Megan Moroney has confirmed she'll release her brand new deluxe album, Am I Okay? (I'll Be Fine) this Friday (October 4th), featuring three extra tracks, ‘Break It Right Back’, ‘Bless Your Heart’ and ‘I'll Be Fine’, the latter of which has inspired the title.

All three songs will be made available on Friday, with the newly unveiled project following the arrival of the original album Am I Okay? in July. The body of work, which serves as Megan Moroney's sophomore record, was met with widespread acclaim and has spawned fan-favourites such as ’No Caller ID’, ‘28th of June’ and ‘Indifferent’.

The Georgia prodigy has been teasing new music during recent shows and on social media, with many suspecting a deluxe version of Am I Okay? was on the way. At the start of September, for instance, Moroney shared a snippet of ‘Break It Right Back’ via Instagram, referencing her Am I Okay? stand-out, ‘Third Time's The Charm’ in the playful caption, “sooooo yeah the third time was in fact not the charm”.

In tandem with the exciting deluxe announcement, Megan Moroney has offered fans a brief explanation as to what they can expect from each of the trio of new tracks this Friday.

The ‘Tennessee Orange’ hitmaker summarises the meaning behind ‘Break It Right Back’, reflecting, “the love songs that start the album were short-lived and this song explains why”.

For the long-teased ‘Bless Your Heart’, Moroney dons it “‘I'm Not Pretty’s older sister, written specifically for the internet (and real life) assholes we all know and love”.

Lastly, Megan Moroney provides a more in-depth assessment of ‘I'll Be Fine’, which seems to be the most vulnerable and candid of the three songs. She recalls, “The 6"2 dream and I broke up the day before I sang vocals for the title track. I remember being in the studio, holding back tears, thinking, ‘How am I gonna sing this every night? Should I just trash this song and rename the album?” I knew everything was gonna be fine but I needed to talk myself into it and that's what this song is”.

Moroney concluded by expressing her gratitude to her loyal fanbase, “Y'all have shown this album so much love - THANK YOU and I can't wait for y'all to hear these new ones”.

Thankfully, the ‘Man on the Moon’ singer-songwriter has made a habit of keeping her listeners well-fed when it comes to new music, having dropped a three-song deluxe version of her debut album, Lucky, around six months after the original project arrived on streaming platforms - and it's safe to say we're not complaining.
