The Tennessee Titans game on Sunday (Nov. 3) began on the right foot, with Margo Price having kicked off kick-off with a stirring performance of the National Anthem.
During the evening game against the New England Patriots, Price appeared on the 50-yard line of Nashville's Nissan Stadium for a striking rendition of the nation's song, a showcase that was met with bouts of rousing applause and followed by fireworks.
"I got all choked up thinking about our country today while singing the National Anthem at Nissan Stadium," the artist shared in a post on social media, alongside footage of the moment.
Come election day this Tuesday (Nov. 5), the fate of the United States will change hands as a new president is determined. This is a heated time for the nation, and while Price has never been one to shy away from voicing her political views, her simple post seems to plainly express how many feel going into this uncertain time.
She closed her post with a nod to the night's victor, writing, "Congrats to the [Titans] on their win, I loved being y’all’s good luck charm, thanks for having me."
The star's Nissan Stadium performance follows her recent outings alongside the Tedeschi Trucks Band and her latest appearance at the annual Farm Aid benefit showcase.
This year has seen Price release a handful of singles, including her recent cover of the 2014 Andrew Combs classic, 'Too Stoned To Cry', featuring celebrated guitarist Billy Strings.
The duet, released in early September, arrived not long after Price began hinting at a return to country music following her Strays projects. On her Substack, called ‘Rawdoggin Reality’, she announced the impending shift with a post, titled "Why I Left Country Music, and Why I'm Coming Back To Kick Its Ass," in which she wrote: "I know I'm gonna make this next record the way I want to make it, no matter what it takes."
