There's a storm that's been brewing for some time in downtown Nashville, and Category 10 has officially touched down on Second Avenue.
Luke Combs just celebrated the grand opening of his new Music City haunt, dubbed Category 10, on Saturday (Nov. 2).
The 67,000-square-foot venue opened in the heart of downtown, just off the famed Broadway drag and flanked by the Cumberland River waterfront, where the beloved Wildhorse Saloon once resided.
The hulking establishment – its name takes inspiration from Combs' early hit, 'Hurricane' – features several entertainment spaces, such as Hurricane Hall, the 5 Leaf Clover Sports Bar, a bourbon lounge and more.
"It’s a dream come true," the artist shared on social media, "and I am excited for y’all to see it, so next time you’re in Nashville, be sure and check it out!"
Earlier this year, Combs revealed the plans for venue, explaining in a video to fans, “As you know, we've been teasing a bar of mine in Downtown Nashville, so I'm excited to officially announced the name of that bar. It's gonna be called ‘Category 10’, and I'm so excited about that. Obviously, as you guys know, the strongest a hurricane can be is Category 5, so we figured we'd double it, and make it Category 10”.
Today, Combs understands the effects such storms, the artist having recently hosted the Concert for Carolina benefit show alongside fellow hitmaker and North Carolinian Eric Church. The star-studded event, which featured performances from Billy Strings, Keith Urban and more, raised $24.5 million to aid the region devastated by Hurricane Helene in late September.
