Country music's resident supergroup, Little Big Town, will add another title to their illustrious list come September as they host the inaugural People's Choice Country Awards.
In addition to serving as emcee's of the star-studded evening, the quartet of Karen Fairchild, Phillip Sweet, Kimberly Schlapman and Jimi Westbrook will also take the historic stage to perform a medley of their greatest hits during the show.
This won't be the first hosting gig for Little Big Town, who took the reins of both the 2018 and 2019 CMT Awards, which broadcast live from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena.
Inducted into the Opry family in 2014, the group is also among the most decorated groups in country music with three Grammys for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for 'Pontoon,' 'Girl Crush' and 'Better Man' - all of which also found the top of the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart - as well as six CMA Awards and four ACM Awards for Vocal Group of the Year. They have also amassed four No. 1 albums on Top Country Albums with The Reason Why, Tornado, The Breaker and Nightfall.
“We are honored to host the inaugural People’s Choice Country Awards, especially on one of our most beloved stages in the entire world,” shares the group, who won the People's Choice Award for Favorite Country Group in 2017. “We look forward to welcoming so many of our talented peers to take the Opry stage for this magical night of music.”
Taking over Nashville's iconic Grand Ole Opry House on Sept. 28, the first edition of the fan-voted country awards were announced this past March and will celebrate the biggest and best in the country format. The two-hour ceremony will air live across NBC and Peacock.
