LISTEN: Avery Anna Shares the Original Piano Solo for Her Viral Sam Barber Collaboration, ‘Indigo’

Avery Anna has taken to Instagram to share the original piano solo for her viral collaboration with Sam Barber, ‘Indigo’, which appears on Barber's debut studio album, Restless Mind.

Since its release in October, the stirring, evocative ‘Indigo’ has blossomed into one of the most popular country songs on TikTok, surging into the Top Ten of Spotify's Viral 50 USA ranking. Alongside the title-track from Sam Barber's record, another duet with Avery Anna, ‘Indigo’ has led fans to call for the duo to join forces again in the near future. Thankfully, the latter recently hinted that they're writing together again as Anna works on her eagerly anticipated sophomore album.

As she highlights through the beautifully sparse and peacefully melancholic new piano solo that Avery Anna has uploaded across her social, Anna is quickly establishing herself as one of the most captivating artists to emerge in the next wave of country stars.

We see a similar level of emotional weight and gravitas on Avery Anna's heartbreaking 2024 track, ‘vanilla’, which finds the Arizona native drawing on challenging past experiences to offer advice and guidance to her younger sister about consent.

Both Avery Anna and Sam Barber are performing at the UK's C2C Festival 2025 this March, with Anna also teaming up with Barber for a couple of his Restless Mind World Tour dates. In addition, Anna and Barber are set to take the stage at C2C Berlin 2025.

We're hoping we'll get to hear Avery Anna and Sam Barber's next collaboration in the near future, with Anna expected to kick off the rollout for her Breakup Over Breakfast follow-up album in the coming weeks. If ‘Indigo’ and ’Restless Mind’ are anything to go by, then we feel pretty confident we'll have another stellar duet on our hands.
