Nashville's latest rocker-on-the-rise Liam St. John has revealed the ripping lead single from his forthcoming EP, Believer. Titled 'Landslide Over the Highway’, the quaking anthem is one you'll feel long after the closing notes.
“'Landslide over the Highway’ is an ode to rock ‘n’ roll," the artist shares of the free-spirited track, the chorus of which boldly proclaims, "I ain’t just a rolling stone / I’m a landslide over the highway / We both know where I’m going / And I’ll hurt anything in my way."
"This song is honest and intimate to my personal story," he continues. "I may have started as a ‘rolling stone,’ but this life I live has morphed into something much larger than that. Something I don’t think I could stop even if I wanted to. It’s a singular focus on what I feel my life’s meaning and purpose is. What is set in motion can’t be stopped; sometimes that means detaching from the side of the mountain and taking out an entire highway."
The new tune comes roaring in accompanied by a cinematic music video, in which Bonnie and Clyde-esque lovers wreak havoc and have a good time until those good times come to an end.
St. John's Big Loud Rock-backed EP, Believer, is set to arrive on June 28.
The four-track release speaks to how far the musician has come as he looks to his journey ahead. “I've been pursuing this career for a long time,” he offers, “but…being candid and telling my story…That's what has resonated the most with my audience. I’ve found that the best way to connect with others is to tell the story only you can tell."
