Lauren Watkins will celebrate the release of her debut EP, Introducing: Lauren Watkins, with a special release party on April 22. The event will double-up as the Official Morgan Wallen Pre-Game Show, with Wallen having a headlining set lined up nearby later that evening.
Lauren Watkins’ pre-game show will take place at The Library in Oxford, Mississippi, and will kick off at 3pm. This will give Wallen fans plenty of time to gear up for Morgan Wallen's One Night At A Time concert later that evening at Oxford's Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
After quickly building a loyal group of fans through her stellar acoustic covers, Lauren Watkins treated listeners to her first official releases on April 14, ‘Camel Blues’ and ‘Shirley Temple’.
The two tracks showcase Watkins’ timeless lyricism and her penchant for smooth, easy-going melodies, and serve as tantalising appetisers ahead of her debut EP, Introducing: Lauren Watkins.
The eagerly awaited project is set to be released on April 21, and will feature previously unheard songs such as ‘Grain of Salt’, ‘Ole Miss’, ‘Sleeping In My Makeup’, ‘Anybody But You’ and ‘Dark Places’, along with the two new singles, ‘Camel Blues’ and ‘Shirley Temple’.
As well as the newly unveiled Release Party and Morgan Wallen Pre-Game Show, Lauren Watkins has a slew of high-profile festival appearances on the books throughout the summer. The Tennessee native is due to perform at Lasso Montréal, Windy City Smokeout, Voices of America Country Music Fest and more.
It's shaping up to be a break-out year for the fast-emerging star, and fans will no doubt be flocking to her Oxford Release Party on April 22 to see exactly why the hype surrounding her is well-placed.
