Larry Fleet's uptempo collaboration with Jamey Johnson and Bryan Sutton, ‘Highway Feet’, has been featured on the latest episode of Taylor Sheridan's Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2.
The popular neo-Western series is charging towards its dramatic climax, with what's believed to be the final instalment of Yellowstone set to conclude on Sunday, December 15th.
The Yellowstone soundtrack has become almost as renowned as the show itself, with the official music supervisor, Andrea Von Foerster, working closely with the programme's creator, Taylor Sheridan, to craft a forward-facing yet traditional-leaning collection of tracks that have served to enhance the rugged, raw feel of the series.
Prior to Larry Fleet's ‘Highway Feet’, Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2 had showcased tracks from the likes of Charles Wesley Godwin, Colter Wall, Flatland Cavalry and more.
‘Highway Feet’ arrived back in 2021 as a bonus track on Larry Fleet's widely acclaimed sophomore album, Stack of Records, which also spawned the soulful ‘Where I Find God’.
It marks the first time the Tennessee singer-songwriter has had a song included on the Paramount show, with this high-profile addition of ‘Highway Feet’ to the Yellowstone soundtrack sure to give Fleet a welcome boost as he readies his next body of work.
As for the plot, without revealing too much, this new chapter of Yellowstone - titled ‘Counting Coup’ - saw the Dutton family continue to rebuild and fight back following the shock death of the patriarch, Kevin Costner's John Dutton, in the very first episode.
New episodes of Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2 air on the Paramount Network in the US every Sunday at 8/7c.
