Lainey Wilson Helps Out in the Pit During Formula One US Grand Prix in Austin, Texas

Lainey Wilson made a surprise appearance at the Formula One United States Grand Prix over the weekend, with the Bell Bottom Country star carrying out a mock wheel-change in the pit for the BWT Alpine team alongside their No. 2 driver, Pierre Gasly.

The clip of Lainey Wilson changing the tyre opens with the ’Good Horses’ singer-songwriter and Pierre Gasly witnessing a demonstration of the rapid-fire procedure from the professional team, before Lainey hilariously mutters, “That's what we're doing?”

During the actual change, when Pierre Gasly jokes to the crew-member helping to screw the new tyres on, “You're hired!”, Lainey Wilson wittily quips, “He's hired and I'm fired...!”

The light-hearted video highlights Lainey Wilson's refreshing willingness to get involved and not take herself too seriously, despite being one of the biggest names in modern country music.

Lainey's temporary pit-stop partner, Pierre Gasly, ended up in twelfth position in the US Grand Prix, which took place in Austin, Texas, with Ferarri's Charles Leclerc securing victory. His Ferrari driver, Carlos Seinz, and Red Bull's Max Verstappen completed the top three.

Lainey Wilson is currently in the middle of her Country's Cool Again tour, with the ‘4X4XU’ hitmaker due to perform in Ontario, Pennsylvania, Arkansas, Indiana, West Virginia, Oklahoma and more over the next few weeks.
