Lainey kicked off the charismatic performance by placing a fiery red cowboy hat on her head and striding towards the microphone, before launching into a captivating rendition of the Elvis classic.
Against the scenic backdrop of the Graceland estate, Lainey Wilson was accompanied by a group of instrumentalists perched on a sleek, red-and-white truck off to the side of the stage.
While the plethora of Christmas trees and shimmering lights helped to create a cosy, festive ambience, Lainey Wilson ensured the performance still carried her trademark swagger and edge, as the ‘Watermelon Moonshine’ hitmaker made the iconic track her own.
Elsewhere during the TV special, which was broadcast from Elvis‘ former home, the Graceland estate, viewers were treated to stellar performances from Post Malone, Lana Del Rey, The War and Treaty, Kane Brown, Kacey Musgraves, John Legend and Alanis Morissette.
It's safe to say it's been a fantastic week for Lainey Wilson fans, with the ‘Heart Like A Truck’ chart-topper surprising listeners by releasing a brand new song today (Friday, December 1st), ‘I Would If I Could’, as an Apple Music Lost & Found exclusive.
