As the excitement continues to build ahead of his expansive 2025 UK and European tour, country-rock crooner Jackson Dean sits down with Holler to tease what fans can expect.
The Maryland native has become renowned for his fiery, impassioned sets and the charisma and grit Jackson Dean always laces into his live performances, with the ‘Still Ragin’ singer-songwriter infusing a rock-inspired ferocity into his rip-roaring setlists.
Those who have been lucky enough to get their hands on tickets to Jackson Dean's 2025 UK and European run - which launches in Zurich, Switzerland on April 15th - will be looking forward to hearing a selection of highlights from the fast-emerging artist's widely acclaimed sophomore studio album, On The Back Of My Dreams.
In addition to his latest single, ‘Still Ragin’, we're excited to hear Jackson Dean delivering a soulful, Southern Rock-tinged rendition of his evocative track, ‘Heavens to Betsy’.
Serving as the cornerstone of On The Back Of My Dreams, ‘Heavens to Betsy’ blossomed into a fan-favourite long before it was given an official release in August 2024.
It finds Jackson Dean showcasing his visceral storytelling abilities, as he deftly steps into the shoes of a late father with a chequered past singing to his daughter on Earth. ‘Heavens to Betsy’ always serves as a powerful moment in his electric live shows.
Jackson Dean has made a point of establishing a strong connection with his fans across The Pond, having performed at The Long Road Festival, Highways Festival and C2C Festival.
Armed with a new album's worth of material, Jackson Dean returns for performances in Germany, the UK, the Netherlands and more throughout April and May 2025. Even if you saw Jackson at one of his previous dates in the UK or Europe, the ‘Don't Come Lookin’ hitmaker is readying a revamped setlist incorporating more recent tracks that will ensure his 2025 live shows make for a whole new experience.
Jackson Dean explains, “This tour's setlist will be predominantly focused around the new project, which we're super excited about”, before reassuring avid fans of his earlier releases, “But you already know we'll be playing some of the usual suspects”.
With Jackson Dean opening on one of the biggest tours of 2024, supporting Lainey Wilson on her Country's Cool Again run, Jackson has honed his show in front of arena crowds.
Jackson Dean is full of praise for the ‘4X4XU’ chart-topper, revealing some of the nuggets he gleaned from her set, “Lainey is an elite entertainer. I learned a ton just through osmosis - her entire vibe is infectious and she's easily one of the best in the industry”.
Endearingly, Jackson goes on to champion the way in which Lainey Wilson infuses a sense of joy and warmth into her performances, “Watching her pick a little girl every night that she'd crown 'Cowgirl of the Night' and the positivity it radiated was special”.
Jackson Dean concludes, “[It's] hard to describe the feeling of tens of thousands just smiling at the stage. She really aspires to inspire and that's something I aspire to do”.
Jackson Dean will be bringing the wisdom he's gained from spending time out on the road with one of the genre's most prominent artists, along with an array of stellar new tracks, to stages across the UK and Europe in a matter of months, in what promises to be one of the stand-out 2025 country tours this side of The Pond.
