Lady A's relationship with the UK, not only through its country fanbase but in its mainstream pop culture as well, has always been one of the strongest in the genre.

With six of their albums making the Top 40 on the British Isles, it made the trio more than suitable headliners for the 10th anniversary of the UK's biggest country music festival.

Headlining for the third time in ten years, the trio of Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood delivered a greatest hits set for the 02 Arena faithful.

From the early career favourites of 'American Honey' and 'Just A Kiss' to their old faithful 'Need You Now', it can't be denied the trio have carved a distinctive collection of singalongs for a loving crowd, one that was particularly on display in the 02 on Saturday Night.

Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott can evoke the sort of tender emotion that the heartiest of marriages struggle to stir up.

They can do it in any situation too, whether in the intimate setting of a writer's round or on a stage as big as the full-to-capacity 02 Arena.

It's only buoyed by Dave Haywood's textured harmonies in a live setting like this, creating something as emphatic as 'What A Song Can Do' or defiant and uplifting as 'Heart Break' and managing to sound euphoric throughout.

Taking a pew for a few stripped-back songs, one of the most emotional and heartfelt moments came from Kelley alone.

Performing his solo song 'As Far As You Could', with his best friends of so many years sat side by side alongside him, the Georgia native poured out what felt like every drop of emotion he had left, delivering a candid and uncontrived moment of vulnerability.

Not far away from their 20th anniversary as a group, on Saturday night at C2C Festival Lady A showed just why they've become one of the most beloved groups in modern day country.
