As we sit wrapped up in cozy blankets and surrounded by a blockade of space heaters, we can't help but count down the days until we can immerse ourselves in summer vibes once again.

Country music's Mr. Summer, Kenny Chesney, will play a pivotal role in instigating this sun-soaked, island-inspired ambience for us when he takes the stage at Las Vegas’ Sphere in June, following his wildly popular residency there last summer.

Excitingly, judging by a new post from the ‘No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems’ hitmaker, Chesney will have a reimagined setlist in place for his five-show stint throughout June.

Alongside a couple of photos of him rehearsing with his band-members, Chesney has tantalisingly teased, “Already working on the new intro music for Sphere. Can’t wait”.

Chesney's Sphere shows have been completely unlike any of his past stadium concerts or amphitheater tour-stops, with the setlist being carefully curated around the visuals. His Sphere residency tells a story, with each song playing a key role in the narrative.

Last summer, for instance, the Knoxville native kicked off his show with the high-octane ‘Beer in Mexico’ and ‘Keg in the Closet’, before keeping the energy levels up with two rousing, electric-guitar-fuelled anthems, ‘Til It's Gone’ and ‘Here and Now’.

We suspect Chesney will still opt for a galvanising, uptempo run of tracks to open his 2026 Sphere shows. In the past, he's opted for feel-good, carpe-diem-infused earworms such as ‘We Do’, and we'd also love to see deeper cuts like ‘Just To Say We Did’, ‘Knowing You’, ‘Trip Around the Sun’ and ‘Noise’ getting an inclusion.

It's also possible, of course, that Chesney might have some new music out in the world by the time he begins his Sphere residency in June, with the country titan confirming he's been working on fresh material in recent months. After the fanfare that greeted his keenly awaited 2024 album, BORN, and the success of his recent book, HEART*LIFE*MUSIC, with Holly Gleason, we're keeping our fingers crossed it won't be long before Chesney treats us to another body of work.

One thing's for sure, Chesney has no shortage of iconic tracks in his catalogue to choose from, and we can't wait to see how the ‘Everything's Gonna Be Alright’ crooner revamps his show to make this new set a unique and unforgettable experience.

Kenny Chesney returns to Sphere Las Vegas on June 19th, 20th, 24th, 26th and 27th.
