Kelsea Ballerini Shows Love to Shania Twain, Kenny Chesney, Noah Kahan and More with ‘Summertime Sounds’ Playlist on Apple Music

Kelsea Ballerini has shared some of her favourite summer songs via her Summertime Sounds playlist on Apple Music, with the ‘Patterns’ singer-songwriter showing love to fellow hitmakers like Shania Twain, Kenny Chesney, Noah Kahan and more.
Ballerini has cemented herself as one of the few Nashville artists that can flit between pop and country without losing any sense of sincerity or authenticity. The Knoxville native has showcased this across recent albums such as Mount Pleasant, Patterns, Rolling Up The Welcome Mat and more, with Ballerini often combining witty, country-leaning lyricism with atmospheric, synth-driven instrumentals.
Ballerini's Apple Music Summertime Sounds playlist highlights her eclectic taste in music, with Chris Stapleton and Carly Pearce sitting alongside ROLE MODEL and Maroon 5.
In the country contingent, Ballerini includes iconic classics like The Chicks’ ‘Wide Open Spaces’, Shania Twain's ‘Man! I Feel Like a Woman!’ and Brooks & Dunn's ‘Neon Moon’, as well as more contemporary gems like Kacey Musgraves’ ‘Golden Hour’, Chris Stapleton's ‘Starting Over’ and Little Big Town's ‘Summer Fever’.
Kenny Chesney and Uncle Kracker's ’When the Sun Goes Down‘ - a breezy, trop-rock anthem that is a go-to for any summer playlist - also makes the cut here, as does Maren Morris’ ‘lemonade’, Carly Pearce's ‘truck on fire’ and Keith Urban's ‘Long Hot Summer’.
Although Noah Kahan is, of course, associated with Autumn, a number of his uptempo, folk-inspired earworms feel perfectly suited to summer - especially this transitional period where the first signs of the Fall start to creep in. ‘She Calls Me Back’, from his 2022 opus, Stick Season, is spotlighted in Ballerini's star-studded playlist.
Kahan and Ballerini have become good friends since their stellar 2024 collaboration, ‘Cowboys Cry Too’, and we're hoping there's another duet on the horizon before too long.
