Kelsea Ballerini has revealed she'll release her new song, ‘Sorry Mom’, tomorrow (Friday, August 9). The track will feature on Kelsea's new album, Patterns, which has been co-produced with Alysa Vanderheym and drops on October 25.

Yesterday, Kelsea Ballerini took to her socials to share a snippet of the intricate track, accompanied by endearing home footage of Kelsea spending time with her mother, Carla.

Fans immediately began calling for the ‘Mountain with a View’ singer-songwriter to release ‘Sorry Mom’, and - excitingly - Kelsea Ballerini confirmed the release date in response to one of the comments. When a follower named Sierra pleaded, “RELEASE IT”, Kelsea replied, “thursday at midnight sound good? it’s a date”.

Heartwarmingly, Kelsea's mother also commented, “Love you Pook … No. Matter. What. 💕💕” with the ‘Peter Pan’ hitmaker writing back, “now we both sleep good at night 🤍”.

The new track, ’Sorry Mom’, arrives after a series of teasers and easter eggs, with Kelsea announcing in July that she'd been sprinkling the title of her next single into virtually every interview, Instagram Q&A and conversation over the past few months.

Although nobody guessed it at first, Kelsea Ballerini then shared that a fan named Karissa had succeeded with ’Sorry Mom‘. The rollout for Kelsea's keenly anticipated Rolling Up The Welcome Mat (For Good) follow-up album is now accelerating, with the country chart-topper sharing a video teaser across her socials earlier in the week. Today (August 8), Kelsea Ballerini officially announced the next record will be called Patterns, and that it will be arriving everywhere on October 25.

We're celebrating the fact that we're getting brand new music from Kelsea Ballerini at midnight, with ‘Sorry Mom’ following on from the Knoxville native's sleek, introspective collaboration with folk-leaning megastar, Noah Kahan, ‘Cowboys Cry Too’.
