Kelsea Ballerini has confirmed she'll be releasing one more single ahead of her forthcoming album, Patterns, with the previously teased ‘First Rodeo’ set to be made available tomorrow (Wednesday, October 16th) at 11am CT. The music video will follow at 4pm.
Although Kelsea has chosen an unusual release date for ‘First Rodeo’, with the track arriving in the middle of the week, it's safe to say we're not complaining, as it means we get to hear another preview of the Tennessee hitmaker's eagerly awaited new record.
Kelsea Ballerini's ‘First Rodeo’ announcement was accompanied by a tantalising snippet of the official music video, with shots of Kelsea on the same sunset-drenched beach as the Patterns album art interspersed with scenes taking place at a funfair.
As the ‘half of my hometown’ singer-songwriter explained in an earlier social media post, all of the music videos she's been releasing in the lead-up to the full Patterns drop can be viewed as a continuous narrative. As a result, fans will be keenly looking forward to seeing how the story is extended from ‘Sorry Mom’ and ‘Two Things’.
Patterns is due to arrive next week, on Friday, October 25th, with the 15-song project already being tipped as one of the most hotly anticipated country albums of the year.
It follows the intricate, vulnerable and R&B-driven Rolling Up The Welcome Mat (For Good), and is set to include never-before-heard tracks such as ‘Beg For Your Love’, ‘We Broke Up’, ‘How Much Do You Love Me’, ‘Nothing Really Matters’ and more.
