Lately, eagled-eyed aficionados have spotted that Moroney has been peppering the number ‘9’ throughout her socials. On a number of posts, for instance, Moroney has chosen to use exactly nine emojis, and on one carousel where she toasts the end of her summer tour, she types out the ‘heart’ emoji with nine threes.

For those who missed these subtle references, Megan Moroney has been spelling it out a little more clearly of late, sharing a post captioned “9 pics for 9 more shows” earlier in September, as her last stretch of 2025 Am I Okay? tour-stops approach.

Then, on TikTok, Moroney shared a fit-check accompanied by the not-so-subtle text, “What's 4 + 4 + 1? Hehehe”, confirming that we weren't imagining the ‘9’ Easter Eggs.

Just this week, Moroney uploaded some snaps from a recent San Francisco 49ers game she attended, with someone holding up a jersey with ‘Moroney 9’ emblazoned on the back.

If you want to go even deeper, you'll spot that in the ‘Six Months Later’ music video - which is full of fun clues and hints at song-titles from Moroney's third album - the TV flicks from Channel 3 to Channel 6. And three plus six, of course, is nine.

Okay, so we've got the message - the number ‘9’ has some role to play in the rollout for Moroney's new album. But what does this mean, exactly? Some fans theorised that it meant she would be announcing the record in September - the ninth month.

However, with September almost over, we suspect ‘9’ has a different meaning. We reckon that Moroney is hinting that she's going to announce her third album on October 9th.

Aside from tying in with the ‘9’ theme, October 9th is Moroney's birthday. It's also the day before the ‘Tennessee Orange’ hitmaker's final weekend of shows on the Am I Okay? Tour. With this chapter closing, this would serve as the perfect time to reassure fans that the next era is loading, by dropping the album announcement.

We'll have to wait and see, but with this flurry of teasers and clues continuing across Moroney's social media pages, it definitely feels like something is coming soon. And given the run the ‘Heaven By Noon’ crooner has been on over the past couple of years, it's safe to say any new music from Moroney is cause for celebration.
