After hinting at an impending announcement via socials all week, Kelsea Ballerini has revealed that the deluxe version of her 2024 album, PATTERNS, will arrive on March 7th.
The widely acclaimed project, which found the Knoxville hitmaker exploring the thrills and uncertainty of new love, following the turmoil of Rolling Up The Welcome Mat, will be expanded as part of the deluxe. The long-awaited fan-favourite, ‘To The Men Who Love Women After Heartbreak’, will finally get an official streaming release on the project, after being made available exclusively as a digital download last year.
In addition, PATTERNS (Deluxe) will also include ‘Future Tripping’, ‘Put It To Bed’, ‘Cut Me Up’ and ‘Hindsight Is Happiness’, extending the original record into a 20-song project.
The ‘IF YOU GO DOWN (I'M GOIN’ DOWN TOO)’ singer-songwriter debuted the introspective ‘Future Tripping’ during her show in Fort Worth, Texas last night (Wednesday, February 26th), with fans clamouring for the infectious track to be made available. Thankfully, a few hours later, Ballerini confirmed it would be dropping on the deluxe.
Taking to socials, Kelsea Ballerini shared the exciting news with a reference to one of the many stand-outs from the original version of PATTERNS, ‘Baggage’, “it just so happens i wasn’t done unpacking 🤍 patterns (deluxe) out march 7th!!!! IM SO EXCITED”.
Endearingly, Ballerini's boyfriend and Outer Banks star, Chase Stokes gushed in the comments, “I. Am. So. Excited. (and proud of you ❤️)”. Chase Stokes serves as the muse for much of the project, including ‘To The Men Who Love Women After Heartbreak’ and ‘First Rodeo’, with Stokes making a cameo appearance in the music video for the latter.
Given how richly textured and vibrant the main body of PATTERNS was, it's safe to say we can't ‘WAIT!’ for this deluxe release. We're keeping our fingers crossed that Kelsea Ballerini decides to treat fans to one of the deluxe tracks ahead of March 7th.
