Holler's Editor-in-Chief, Ross Jones, has been nominated for the CMA Wesley Rose International Media Achievement Award. Jones is joined in the 2023 contingent of CMA International Awards nominees by Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen and more.
The coveted nomination arrives in recognition of Ross Jones’ ‘outstanding achievements in the media as they relate to Country Music outside of the United States’.
Jones has been Holler's Editor-in-Chief since the platform was founded in 2020, and has helmed the UK-based site's progression as it continues to establish itself as a trailblazer in the space.
Speaking ahead of the announcement, Sarah Trahern, CMA Chief Executive Officer, underlined the important work being carried out by the 2023 nominees to further the genre's expansion, “As we continue to see Country Music grow globally, it is thanks in large part to those who have supported our mission and spearheaded events, initiatives and programming to reach new territories around the world. he dedication from each of these nominees has made them a vital part of the success of our genre internationally, and we cannot wait to celebrate them in the coming months”.
Milly Olykan, CMA Vice President, echoed Sarah's sentiments, “We cannot thank our international award nominees enough for their passion and efforts in expanding our international markets. As we look across the international landscape, it is evident that Country Music has more opportunity than ever to continue expanding across the globe. These international nominees are leading the charge in making that happen. Holler is delighted that Ross Jones and the platform as a whole has received this prestigious recognition, with the global growth of country music remaining one of Holler's key objectives.
Also nominated for the 2023 CMA Wesley Rose International Media Achievement Award is Sweden's Jill Johnson, Scotland's Richard Murdoch and Canada's Dayna Bourgoin.
Other CMA International Awards categories include the International Artist Achievement Award, which includes Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen and Kip Moore in its roster of nominees.
