Forrest Frank has taken to socials to announce an exciting, genre-blending duet with Thomas Rhett, with the duo teaming up to release ‘NOTHING ELSE’ this Friday, February 28th.

It marks the second time the artists have joined forces, with Thomas Rhett featuring on the soothing, summery ‘C'est La Vie’, which was released by Forrest Frank and Colin Padalecki's collective, Surfaces, as part of their deluxe Pacifico album in 2021.

While all the Surfaces projects maintain a lo-fi, sun-soaked ambience throughout their discography, on his solo material, Forrest Frank, explores spiritually-minded, Contemporary Christian themes across trap-leaning, unconventional instrumentals.

‘C'est La Vie was a breezy, laidback ode to spending time basking in the sun by the lake with a loved one, and we imagine ‘NOTHING ELSE’ will continue with this uplifting, joyful atmosphere, while incorporating more faith-filled messaging into the lyrics.

Thomas Rhett is no stranger to the Contemporary Christian space, having worked extensively with Chris Tomlin for his celebrated Chris Tomlin & Friends project, as well as linking up with Brandon Lake for a live rendition of ‘Talking to Jesus’ from the Ryman.

Throughout his own discography, the Georgia native regularly touches on his faith, exemplified on stirring tracks such as ‘Ya Heard’, ‘Blessed’, ‘Death Row’ and ‘Beer With Jesus’.

Forrest Frank, meanwhile, is gearing up to release his keenly anticipated new album, following the acclaimed, Grammy-nominated CHILD OF GOD in 2024. ‘NOTHING ELSE’ comes hot on the heels of the arrival of ‘SUNRISE’ earlier in February, with the rollout for the Texas trailblazer's forthcoming record seemingly picking up pace.

Last week, Surfaces surprised fans by dropping first single since their 2024 project, Good Morning, ‘Miss Sunshine’, but it appears Forrest Frank is taking a step back from that project, with Colin Padalecki recruiting Arden Jones for their latest release.
