Florida Georgia Line Fans Freak Out as Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley Reunite at 2025 CMA Awards

Could a reunion be imminent...?

During last night's 2025 CMA Awards, while today's pantheon of country stars took the stage and treated us to an array of stunning performances and the latest crop of victors were crowned, our attention was stolen by a very intriguing photograph.

Revered photographer John Shearer captured a heartwarming moment in the audience, with Florida Georgia Line's Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley reuniting for a light-hearted joke alongside their respective partners, Hayley Hubbard and Brittney Kelley.

Two old band-mates laughing together...what's the big deal, you ask? Well, THubb and BK have been at the centre of a very public dispute since they broke up FGL back in 2022. Kelley has always maintained that he wanted to keep the duo together while recording a solo project, with Hubbard upholding the view that to pursue solo careers as well as remaining in FGL would muddy the overall brand.

They've seemingly taken a multitude of subtle digs at one another through various releases and interviews, leaving our lingering hopes of an eventual FGL reunion in tatters.

However, when their Nashville bar, FGL House, was closed down and replaced by Lainey Wilson's Bell Bottoms Up, Hubbard and Kelley revealed that they'd been texting as they shared their disappointment at the beloved establishment's removal. This was the first indication we'd been given that the chart-topping duo were even on speaking terms again, and allowed our hopes of Florida Georgia Line one day storming back onto the country music scene to be rekindled.

Now, with this sweet photograph from last night's awards ceremony, our hopes are even higher, with THubb and BK clearly getting along a lot better these days than they used to. With 90's legends Brooks & Dunn once again receiving the prestigious Duo of the Year accolade at the 2025 CMA Awards last night, it certainly feels like we're in desperate need of some fresh two-person teams in the genre - and perhaps Florida Georgia Line could be the artists to rejuvenate this category.

We'll be keeping everything crossed that this means a reunion could be on the cards. Honestly, we'd even take a one-off collaboration, because as engaging as their solo projects have been, there's nothing quite like those classic FGL hooks and harmonies.

Elsewhere during the 2025 CMA Awards, Lainey Wilson took home the biggest gong of the night, Entertainer of the Year, for the second time, while viewers were serenaded by the likes of Chris Stapleton, Kelsea Ballerini, Kenny Chesney, Megan Moroney, Ella Langley, Riley Green, Old Dominion, Shaboozey, Luke Combs and more.
