Just days before the onset of CMA Fest 2024, burgeoning singer-songwriter Carter Faith announced that she had inked her first record deal with label behemoth, UMG Nashville.
Surrounded by some of the top country talent from this century, including Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood, Chris Stapleton, Anne Wilson, Eric Church, George Strait, Kacey Musgraves, Tucker Wetmore and more, Faith joins a long list of esteemed hitmakers for her major label debut, expected to come later this year.
Born and raised in North Carolina, she relocated to Nashville after college, learning the ropes from seasoned professionals and eventually accumulating over 110 million global streams from standout tracks like 'Wild,' 'Greener Pasture' and 'Already Crazy,' as well as new sizzling releases like 'Late Bloomer,' 'Strong Stuff' and '’Til I Can Make It On My Own' alongside Sam Williams.
"I've been in town now for like six years so I've done the whole rigamarole of all the deals and stuff," Faith tells Holler following her set at CMA Fest 2024. "I'd always wanted a record deal, it wasn't like I was trying to avoid that. I just really wanted it to feel right and intentional."
She continues: "To be so candid, this was the first team where I thought, 'Oh, they get me,' without having to explain myself. I just felt understood and seen, and my music is so important to me so I could only be with a team like that."
With plenty of new music already lined up for the remainder of this year, the young entertainer also teased that her highly-anticipated debut album is in the works, noting, "[she's] writing for it right now and just needs it to be perfect."
In the last six years, Faith has slowly and steadily become one of the leading voices in country music's next generation, thanks to her mesmerizing vocal abilities and authentic songwriting abilities.
“Carter is not only a masterful storyteller, but her vocals are distinctive, delicate, feminine and powerful. There’s such a clear fingerprint and country tone in her voice,” UMGN Chair & CEO, Cindy Mabe, shared in a release following the announcement. “Carter’s music can transport you through past decades of country music while it paints a picture of a strong woman who knows who she is. I’m so excited that Carter is joining the UMGN roster and the next era of country music.”
From sharing stages with Little Big Town, Keith Urban, Willie Nelson and more, the remainder of 2024 will also see Faith supporting juggernauts like Jon Pardi, as well as a handful of festival appearances across the country.
