After teasing fans with a mysterious countdown for the past few weeks, Ella Langley has officially announced that her sophomore album, Dandelion, is dropping on April 10th.
In the teaser trailer, the ‘you look like you love me’ hitmaker muses, “Dandelions are masters of survival, thriving in even the harshest environments. Often dismissed as a common weed, this unassuming plant carries a deeper symbolism of hope, healing and resilience. This next record to me has so much growth in it”.
Langley expands, “I feel the most myself I've ever felt. I want you to dance, I want you to sing, I want you to be able to relate to these words in a way where you don't feel alone in your thoughts. I want you to not even worry about anything and daydream and listen to these songs. I want you to enjoy them with your friends and family, and I've thought about this record every single day for the last year and a half. And I'm so excited to finally say, ‘Welcome to Dandelion’”.
In the background, the title-track's instrumental plays softly, before a louder snippet enters the fray towards the trailer's conclusion. In the caption, Langley has excitingly confirmed that this title-track, ‘Dandelion’, will be dropping on Friday (January 30th).
The ‘Choosin’ Texas’ singer-songwriter has played a snippet of ‘Dandelion’ in the past, with some eagle-eyed fans spotting that the number plate on the ‘Choosin‘ Texas’ artwork contains a dandelion, which sprouts innocuously between ‘LW LGHTS’.
We'd assumed this was primarily a teaser for a song called ‘Low Lights’ - another previously shared track that's expected to feature on the forthcoming album - but as Langley explains in the video, dandelions are often overlooked, and it turns out the simple little flower on the number plate contained the real clue about the album.
With Langley continuing to cement herself as one of the biggest names in modern country, and ‘Choosin’ Texas’ holding its own at the business-end of the Billboard Hot 100, Dandelion will be one of the most hotly anticipated records of 2026.
