Donald Glover Brings Out Shaboozey During Childish Gambino Show in Brooklyn, New York

Childish Gambino - the rap and R&B star alias of Donald Glover - treated his packed-out Brooklyn, New York crowd to a surprise appearance from country trailblazer, Shaboozey.

During his explosive Barclays Center performance, Childish Gambino delivered one of the numerous stand-outs from his new album, Bando Stone and The New World, ‘Dadvocate’, alongside Shaboozey. Excitingly, Shaboozey stayed on-stage for a second track, offering up an electric rendition of his Hot 100 hit, ’A Bar Song (Tipsy)’.

It was an undoubted highlight in a spellbinding Childish Gambino set, which featured a typically eclectic, vibrant range of songs from across his expansive discography, from the angsty, viral ‘This is America’ to his soulful, funk-infused smash, ‘Redbone’.

Taking to socials after the high-profile link-up, Shaboozey paid tribute to Donald Glover, “Greatest Showman on Earth! Thank you for bringing me out and all the great convos”.

Glover responded by donning Shaboozey the “greatest cowboy on earth”, a nod to the ‘Drink Don't Need No Mix’ crooner's status as one of country music's most exciting new voices.

Donald Glover is preparing to bring his blockbuster 2024 Childish Gambino New World Tour to the home of country music, Nashville, this Sunday (September 1). Now that he's combined with Shaboozey, we'll be keeping a close watch to see if he decides to join forces with any other country artists while he's in Music City.
