Country's newest badass, Dasha, has taken the genre by storm with her insta-hit 'Austin,' and now, she's doing the same on the late night stage.
The California-raised, Nashville-based artist recently made her late night television debut, performing her viral country-pop dance track on the talk show, Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Taking the spotlight donning a denim ensemble, the young artist stomped and two-stepped her way through the infectious tune. All the while, she gave viewers a cool and confident show of everything she has brought to the table since the February release of her country debut, What Happens Now?
Since the independent success of her debut, Dasha has made some pretty big career moves, most recently signing a deal with Warner Records. According to Billboard, the label, working alongside Warner Music Nashville, has plans take 'Austin' to country radio in the near future.
“Dasha is a star,” Warner Records co-chairman/CEO Aaron Bay-Schuck told the outlet. “She’s a force of nature when she walks in the room, she has real passion, significant talent, clear vision, and really strong music that extends far beyond ‘Austin.’”
Since it dropped in late 2023, 'Austin' has been consistently perking ears around the world, becoming a staple ditty on TikTok and climbing charts left and right. It currently sits at No. 17 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart and No. 74 on the Billboard Hot 100.
