Charles Wesley Godwin has followed in the footsteps of his good buddy and 2023 tour-mate, Zach Bryan, by signing a publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music.
The new deal will cover the writing side of Charles’ music, and given the fact that the West Virginia crooner pens the vast majority of his releases, he won't have taken this publishing decision lightly.
The President and CEO of Warner Chappell Music Nashville, Ben Vaughn, emphasised his excitement at Charles’ signing, “Do yourself a favor and go see a Charles Wesley Godwin show, it will make you an instant lifelong fan. Born and bred in West Virginia, Godwin brings an undeniable energy to the stage when singing the songs that he’s so expertly crafted, and all of us at Warner Chappell couldn’t be happier to represent him at this exciting time in his career”.
The ‘All Again’ singer-songwriter echoed Vaughn's sentiments, underlining that he was “Happy to announce that I’ve partnered with Warner Chappell Music! It’s been a true pleasure getting to know Ben Vaughn, Spencer Nohe, and the entire WCM staff. I’m grateful for their support and look forward to working together”.
Charles Wesley Godwin is currently gearing up to release his debut album under Big Loud Records, Family Ties, which will feature previously released fan-favourites such as ‘West of Lonesome’, ‘Cue Country Roads’ and the heartwarming title-track.
The country-folk prodigy is considered by many - Holler included - to be one of the most exciting new voices in the space, and Charles Wesley Godwin can count Luke Combs among his quickly growing fanbase. Luke Combs will take Charles out on the road with him in 2024 as part of his 2024 Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old tour.
