Carly Pearce has announced a surprise new album, 29, scheduled for release on February 19th.

The Kentucky native - who first shot to fame with her chart-topping, platinum-certified debut single ‘Every Little Thing’ - pays tribute to friend and collaborator Busbee in the trailer for the project.

“Losing Busbee was a jolt. He was my champion before anyone believed”, she goes on to say about the producer, who worked on her first two records.

Pearce also reflects on her divorce from Michael Ray, saying the grief she felt from these two events led to her rediscovering herself - “I got back to myself, to my roots…then the songs just kept spilling out”.

Pearce co-wrote four of the seven songs on the record with Josh Osborne and Shane McAnally, who also co-produced the record; “The best songs come from the moment, from real creative spark - and Josh and Shane bring it out of me”.

Hit songwriters Emily Shackleton, Jordan Reynolds and Old Dominion’s Matthew Ramsey all share writing credits on the album also.

The song she wrote in memory of Busbee, ‘Show Me Around’ and her current single ‘Next Girl’, which is climbing up the radio and streaming charts, both feature on the new record.

The singer has also shared a video for new single 'Should've Known Better', which was co-written by Pearce alongside Shackleton and Reynolds.
