Cameron Whitcomb is one of Canada’s most promising new artists. His raw, relatable, genre-blending music has identified with fans across the world. From Montreal, to Sydney, to London, music-lovers are head over heels for the backflipping ‘Hard Way’ singer.

Perpetually churning out clever lyrics to toe-tapping beats, Whitcomb has developed the courage to share his story in a way that helps listeners feel heard. His debut album, ‘The Hard Way’ explores Whitcomb’s journey to sobriety and the mental health struggles he’s experienced along the way.  Be it country, rock or pop, Whitcomb sits somewhere between them all, but his rare honesty and candid storytelling keep him firmly in the country lovers’ hearts.

Which is probably why he’s been nominated for another six Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) Awards. In 2025, Whitcomb walked away with an impressive collection: Fan Choice Award and Breakthrough Artist Award, amongst four other nominations. This year, his CCMA nominations are:

  • Entertainer of the Year
  • Male Artist of the Year
  • Fan Choice
  • Album of the Year (The Hard Way)
  • Alternative Country Album of the Year (The Hard Way)
  • Single of the Year (Options)

This wave of nominations comes as Whitcomb’s fan base continues to grow. His latest Instagram reel of his fans passionately sharing in his live performance of ‘Hard Way’ is currently sitting at 20 million views, demonstrating the wildly relatable reach Whitcomb has garnered.

“Life is learning,” he shared in an interview with Holler last year, “I don’t have it figured out”. But he does have a growing fanbase that is grateful for his honesty. There’s nothing more country than telling your stories and doing things the Hard Way.
