Brooks & Dunn teamed up with Lainey Wilson to deliver an infectious, energising rendition of their toe-tapping Reboot II collaboration, ‘Play Something Country’, on the Nissan Stadium stage during the opening night of CMA Fest 2025.

As we all know, during this special festival in Music City, just about anything can happen, and the legendary country duo proved that with their star-studded, hit-packed set.

As was the case on the studio version, which arrived as part of Brooks & Dunn's sprawling Reboot II project late last year, Lainey Wilson's charismatic, commanding vocals injected an additional sense of swagger into the 2005 anthem as she danced across the Nissan Stadium alongside Ronnie Dunn and Kix Brooks.

The sense of anticipation ahead of these country icons emerging on-stage was palpable, with Brooks & Dunn having long cemented themselves in the genre's pantheon of greats.

Elsewhere during the set, Brooks & Dunn treated the crowd to a stellar link-up with Marcus King, another Reboot II guest, for the Southern Rock-infused ‘Rock My World (Little Country Girl)’, as well as launching stadium-wide sing-a-longs with beloved country staples such as ‘Neon Moon’, ‘Boot Scootin’ Boogie’ and ‘My Maria’.

Today (Friday, June 6th), CMA Fest attendees are still coming down from the excitement of this rip-roaring set, but they'll no doubt be buoyed in the knowledge that they can do it all over again tonight with another titanic Nissan Stadium line-up.
