Brennen Leigh will step into the coveted Grand Ole Opry circle for the first time on June 24.

Born in North Dakota and raised in Minnesota, Leigh began touring at 14 while cultivating her classic country songwriting. Throughout her career, her songs have been recorded by Lee Ann Womack, Rodney Crowell, Sunny Sweeney, Charley Crockett and more.

In addition to her anticipated Grand Ole Opry debut later this month, the rising Americana singer-songwriter and musician has also shared 'I'm Still Looking for You,' the third single from her new record, Ain't Through Honky Tonkin' Yet. Released via Signature Sounds, the new tune was inspired by her rescued dog, Bjorn.

"Noel McKay and I wrote it about my dog, Bjorn. We found him on the highway, on the way back from a gig, years ago. He’s a sweet boy. He still looked for the person who threw him out for years after that. He would see a truck go by and he would perk up and try to follow it. I think a trucker had thrown him out on the highway. We found him and kept him. I love him," she explains.

"But, I think there’s a deeper meaning to the song; it’s human to expect to be treated the way we were treated before. It’s what’s comfortable; a dog that's been hit expects to be hit, even though he’s lived with a nice family for years.”

In the coming weeks, Leigh will be playing a songwriter round at Nashville's iconic Bluebird Cafe alongside Erin Enderlin, Pam Gadd and Irene Kelley on June 8. She'll also be playing a mix of headlining dates across the U.S., as well as supporting Kelly Willis and Melissa Carper towards the end of summer.
