Billy Strings and Molly Tuttle have shared a touching cover of Nanci Griffith's iconic 1989 track, ‘Listen To The Radio’. The collaboration will feature on the upcoming More Than a Whisper: Celebrating the Music of Nanci Griffith tribute album.

The project, which is due to be released on September 22, will also include appearances from The War and Treaty, Kelsey Waldon, Brandy Clark, Steve Earle, Emmylou Harris, Ida Mae and more.

The record will serve as an homage to the legacy of Nanci Griffith, who passed away in 2021. The Texas native was instrumental in the development of the Americana genre as a whole, with her acclaimed 1993 Other Voices, Other Rooms project earning her a Grammy award the following year for ‘Best Contemporary Folk Album’.

All the proceeds from More Than a Whisper: Celebrating the Music of Nanci Griffith will go towards Nashville's Cumberland Heights non-profit organisation, which provides aid and treatment to those suffering from drug and alcohol-related addiction.

The record has been compiled over the past few years, with the project set to feature a guest appearance from the late great John Prine, who sings ‘Love At The Five & Dime’ alongside Kelsey Waldon.

Other Griffith stand-outs that have made their way onto the More Than a Whisper: Celebrating the Music of Nanci Griffith tracklist include ‘Gulf Coast Highway’, ‘Radio Fragile’, ‘You Can't Go Home Again’, ‘Outbound Plane’, ‘Late Night Grande Hotel’ and ‘From A Distance’.
