Come Christmas Day, there will be more than presents under the tree. One special gift will be on TV.
Beyoncé has been tapped to perform during halftime at the Houston Texans-Baltimore Ravens game on Dec. 25. From Houston's NRG Stadium, the performance will be broadcast live on Netflix during the streaming service's special NFL Christmas Gameday, which will also include coverage of the Kansas City Chiefs-Pittsburgh Steelers game.
In a cinematic reel posted to her social media, Beyoncé shared the news of the special showcase as her COWBOY CARTER opus, 'AMERIICAN REQUIEM', played over footage of her on the hood of a long-horned car.
The Christmas showcase will mark the first time the artist has performed songs from her latest album, COWBOY CARTER, live. The March release, which spawned country-fueled hits like 'TEXAS HOLD 'EM' and '16 CARRIAGES', recently received 11 Grammy nods including nominations for Album of the Year and Country Album of the Year.
'TEXAS HOLD 'EM' will also be up for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, as well as Country Song of the Year during the 67th annual awards ceremony.
