One of Georgia's most exciting new voices, Ben Chapman, took to the Holler Saloon Stage during C2C Festival 2024 to deliver a captivating set packed with fan-favourites.
The fast-emerging artist treated the late afternoon audience to a flurry of stand-outs from his quickly expanding catalogue, in addition to previewing his eagerly awaited upcoming album by including a number of unreleased offerings in his setlist.
With sets across the weekend, attendees had plenty of chances to enjoy Ben Chapman's bluesy, soulful vocals, but even so, the intimacy and unique ambience that accompanied the Holler Saloon Stage made this performance feel extra special.
Chapman showcased the gravelly, charismatic voice he's become known for on stand-outs such as ‘Georgia Dreamin’, which cleverly and evocatively portrays a sense of yearning for a change in scenery through the perspective of a young girl (“Well, country princess, city road / All of this concrete got her missin’ home”).
‘Kinda Sorta’ received a similarly fervent response from the Holler Saloon Stage crowd, with Chapman crooning wistfully about a woman that's managed to breach his emotional walls, as he pleads with her to stay (“Well, how in the world did you get in here? / I had my heart locked up and hid the key somewhere”).
Chapman's set will have certainly struck a chord with avid listeners of Chris Stapleton and Tyler Childers, with the up-and-coming artist cementing his status as one to watch with his deftly constructed and deeply moving Holler Saloon Stage performance.
