Bailey Zimmerman has unveiled the name of his debut album, Religiously, and has made the title-track immediately available.
The song is already being championed by listeners as one of his strongest releases of 2023 so far, and has intensified the eagerness with which fans are awaiting his first full-length project.
‘Religiously’ follows the release of ‘Fix’n To Break’ and ‘Get To Gettin’ Gone’, and all three explore Zimmerman's penchant for heartbreak anthems. He showcased this on his acclaimed break-out EP, Leave The Light On, which was certified Gold late last year.
The rising star's new album is due to be released on May 12, and will feature previously released singles such as ‘Get To Gettin’ Gone’, ‘Fix'n To Break’ and ‘Rock and A Hard Place’, along with the special Johnny Cash cover Zimmerman released in partnership with Nashville Soccer Club, ‘God's Gonna Cut You Down’.
In addition to ‘Rock and A Hard Place’, Religiously: The Album will include two other tracks that originally appeared on Zimmerman's 2022 EP, Leave The Light On.
‘Where It Ends’ and ’Fall In Love’ will both be re-released as part of the new album.
Although the subject matter of Zimmerman's latest single runs in a similar vein to his previous material, ‘Religiously’ finds Zimmerman digging deeper with a more drawn-in feel, which puts the emphasis on the powerful lyrical imagery and his dramatic, gravelly vocals.
Bailey Zimmerman is currently out on the road in New Zealand and Australia, as the ‘Fall In Love’ hitmaker supports Morgan Wallen on his One Night At A Time world tour, alongside Ernest and HARDY.
Zimmerman spoke to Holler about how big an influence Wallen has been on his career so far, and performing in front of Wallen's colossal fanbase on tour no doubt presents a fantastic opportunity for Zimmerman, as he continues to accelerate the growth of his burgeoning fanbase.
