In a new Instagram carousel, Avery Anna has teased that she's been working on another collaboration with Sam Barber, as their 2024 duet, ’Indigo’, continues to explode in popularity. Last year, the duo also linked up for ’Restless Mind’, the title-track from Barber's debut album, with the two prodigies joining Ella Langley and Riley Green at the front of the modern wave of country power couples.
Although we haven't been able to hear any snippets of Avery Anna and Sam Barber's latest duet, Anna has included a brief clip of the two artists writing together over FaceTime.
Avery Anna's phone rests upon her laptop screen, which tantalisingly brandishes what look to be some of the heartfelt, devoted lyrics of the new unreleased song, reading, “Restless minds / To dead end streets / I love you / You love me / My love / I will wait / For you / For the rest / Of my life / Through the blue / Through the broken weary eyes that I see through / All I have / Is all I give / To you”.
Excitingly, it appears we can look forward to plenty of new music from Avery Anna, with one of the images in the Arizona native's new Instagram carousel showing a Pinterest board, titled, “ALBUM 2”. Anna released her debut full-length record in July, Breakup Over Breakfast, which drew acclaim from a wide number of sources throughout the country world, and spawned the beautiful, powerful ‘vanilla’.
We'll have to wait and see whether Avery Anna and Sam Barber have plans to drop their third collaboration in the coming weeks, or whether the forthcoming offering is being readied for a release as part of Anna's eagerly anticipated sophomore album.
Either way, judging by how immensely popular ‘Indigo’ is proving to be, with the despairing, intimate track remaining at the business-end of both Spotify's Viral US and UK Charts at the time of writing, expectations will be soaring ahead of the duo's next duet.
