After being spotted hanging out together at the Grammy's after-party, Shaboozey has taken to his Instagram Stories to share a photo of him recording with Sierra Ferrell.
In addition, prolific singer-songwriter Amy Allen can be seen with an acoustic guitar as part of the session, suggesting we might have our new favourite earworm on the way.
During the 2025 ceremony, Allen became the first woman in history to win the coveted Grammy for Songwriter of the Year, with the chart-topping songsmith penning smashes for Sabrina Carpenter (‘Espresso’, ‘Please, Please, Please’, ‘Taste’), Tate McRae (‘greedy’), Harry Styles (‘Adore You’), Halsey (‘Without Me’) and many more.
Aptly, the soundtrack Shaboozey chose for his new Instagram Story was one of Amy Allen's biggest hits, ‘Please, Please, Please’. Allen is no stranger to country music, having worked with the likes of Koe Wetzel, Sam Barber and Maren Morris.
It's a truly genre-blending trio, with Shaboozey able to flit between genres and sub-genres with ease, as was highlighted throughout his stellar 2024 album, Where I've Been, Isn't Where I'm Going. The ‘Last of My Kind’ crooner incorporates traditional country, hip-hop, Americana and more across the impressive body of work.
Sierra Ferrell is another sonic shape-shifter, although the four-time 2025 Grammy winner tends to lean towards the Americana and alt-country space. We imagine this potential collaboration is being lined up for Shaboozey's new album, with the Virginia hitmaker sharing the uplifting lead single, ’Good News’, back in November 2024.
Elsewhere during the Grammy weekend, Shaboozey again teased that he has a blockbuster collaboration with the most popular artist in modern country, Morgan Wallen, up his sleeve.
Hopefully, it won't be too long before we get to hear the fruit - or possibly fruits - of this studio session. Given the immense talent in that room, we're sure it'll be a certified smash.
