It's safe to say Dylan Marlowe's new unreleased song snippet, ‘Picture Perfect’ has been piquing the interest of followers and fellow artists alike, with Marlowe's witty, wordplay-heavy lyrics and the sweet, endearing sentiment that he's laced into the track drawing an array of plaudits from across the country music world.
For instance, country megastar Luke Combs has taken to the comments of the ‘Boys Back Home’ hitmaker's initial teaser video to offer his stamp of approval, gushing, “Absolute HAMMER”.
Heartwarmingly, Dylan Marlowe has responded in a separate post, with the country prodigy stressing just how influential Luke Combs has been on his sound. In the newly uploaded TikTok video, Marlowe dons Combs a “huge inspiration to me, one of the whole reasons I ever got started with [music]! Thanks for the love!”
Could Dylan Marlowe be about to turn ‘Picture Perfect’ into a star-studded collaboration with Luke Combs? Given the deeply personal nature of the forthcoming track, we imagine Marlowe will be keeping this one for himself - but a link-up between these two country heavy-hitters down the line would nonetheless be incredible.
‘Picture Perfect’ revolves around a sweet, charming flip of the titular phrase, with Dylan Marlowe asking his wife, Natalie, to “picture perfect” as he sets out to make their longstanding dreams come true by making plans to purchase their ideal home.
Across a warm instrumental, the ’Stick to My Guns’ singer-songwriter croons, “Baby, close your eyes and picture perfect / Little handprints and Bible verses / In the concrete, holding up your dream house / Forty twenty in the barn, I can see it right now”.
Then, Dylan Marlowe offers another satisfying twist on the title, as he again addresses his wife and heartwarmingly doubles-down on his keenness to one day have children, which he expressed on 2024's ‘Mid-Twenties Crisis’, “Baby, picture baby pictures in the hallway / Dogs in the yard, pencil-marks in the door-frame / Wonder what kind of life I've got in mind / Just close your eyes and picture perfect”.
Unfortunately, there's no release date just yet for ‘Picture Perfect’, and with Dylan Marlowe only dropping his debut album, Mid-Twenties Crisis, in September 2024, it feels like we'll have to wait a little while longer before hearing his sophomore project. Nonetheless, with the buzz now surrounding ‘Picture Perfect’, we reckon Marlowe might be readying this stellar track for a more imminent release.

“Baby, what you say we take a ride down that dirt road
Look at that farm again
Dream about building that house by the white oak
Stockin’ that pond with fish
-
Oh, so many pine trees you won't see the neighbors
Oh, girl, we're almost there so do me a favor
-
Baby, close your eyes and picture perfect
Little handprints and Bible verses
In the concrete, holding up your dream house
Forty twenty in the barn, I can see it right now
-
Baby, picture baby pictures in the hallway
Dogs in the yard, pencil-marks in the door-frame
Wonder what kind of life I've got in mind
Just close your eyes and picture perfect”
