Brandi Carlile’s ‘Broken Horses’ memoir debuts at number one on The New York Times Best Sellers list.

The Americana singer-songwriter’s book is receiving overwhelming critical praise, as Carlile continues with her virtual book tour. In addition to the hardback, a very special audiobook edition of the memoir, narrated by Carlile herself, will be released next Tuesday (April 20) on Random House Audio.

In the book, Carlile opens up about a life shaped by music, including songs that inspired her and the true stories behind many of her lyrics, woven throughout the book at the end of each chapter.

Carlile has also recorded new stripped-down, solo renditions of more than 30 of her songs exclusively for the audiobook, including additional songs by other artists, from Dolly Parton to Elton John, Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell and more. In addition to her Grammy Award winning solo career, Carlile is a part of the all-female, super-group quartet, The Highwomen alongside Amanda Shires, Maren Morris and Natalie Hemby. She has also written and produced with and for several artists including Tanya Tucker and her activism and humanitarian work has earned her the respect of friends, fellow musicians and fans all over the World.

‘Broken Horses’ is available to buy now.
