Anne Wilson has released her brand new EP, REBEL (The Beginning), with the three-pack of songs clearly outlining Wilson's new country-leaning mission statement.
Across the uplifting, eclectic mix of tracks, ‘Rebel’, ‘Strong’ and ‘Rain in the Rearview’, the Grammy-nominee fuses the contemporary Christian sound of her debut 2022 album with a country twist.
As is hinted at in the title, Anne Wilson's new EP serves as the precursor to an exciting new era for the Platinum-certified songsmith, with Wilson venturing further into the country space.
To this end, the Kentucky native has chosen ‘Rain in the Rearview’ as her first ever Country Radio single, with the reflective ballad being shipped to the airwaves on October 9.
As she embarks on this unprecedented path, it's evident Anne Wilson's upcoming material will still be coloured by her Christian faith. For instance, one of Wilson's newly unveiled releases, the euphoric ‘Strong’, is being sent to Christian radio.
Speaking ahead of REBEL (The Beginning) being made available, Anne Wilson emphasised her excitement at the prospect of the release, “I am beyond excited to send this new music out into the world. These three songs felt like the perfect way to begin the next chapter of my musical journey. And I've got a lot more songs I've been writing, so this truly feels like the beginning of something special”.
