It's no secret that country music festivals have absolutely exploded in popularity across the United States, but there's plenty of live music fun being had up north of the border, too!
Boasting a growing collection of festival weekends across the summer, Canada has been steadily growing into its own mecca for country music lovers from one side of the country to the other.
While still a small but mighty offering, we've done all the hard work and heavy lifting of narrowing down the top 5 festivals taking place across the Great White North this year.
Here are Holler's Best Country Music Festivals in Canada for 2025:
This one has been winning hearts and minds – and boots – since 2012, with the Burl’s Creek, Ontario extravaganza continuing to cement itself as one of Canada’s premier celebrations of country music.
Although always grounded in the genre we all know and love, Boots and Hearts is never afraid to experiment with the rockier outer edges of country, epitomised by the stellar 2025 line-up.
HARDY, Dylan Marlowe, Austin Snell and Daughtry will be satisfying any attendees with rock-leaning penchants, while mainstream country listeners will be pleased to see the likes of Sam Hunt, Bailey Zimmerman, Tyler Hubbard and Chase Rice on the impressive 2025 bill.
Will Sam Hunt have finally released his (very) long-awaited third album by the time Boots and Hearts arrives in mid-August? Who knows, but one thing we can be sure of is that all the headliners will be bringing a livewire, party-ready set overflowing with country chart-toppers.
Highlighting just how stacked the Boots and Heart line-ups have become in recent years is the fact that the three-day festival has been expanded to include a Kick-Off Party on the Thursday before the blockbuster main event officially gets underway, which is set to be headlined by ‘Why We Drink’ hitmaker Justin Moore.

Lasso Montréal never fails to rope in the best of the best when it comes to country entertainment.
For two days each August, the hit-fueled festival takes over Montreal's Jean-Drapeau Park to host some of the biggest names of the genre. This year will be no different, as the 2025 affair welcomes Bailey Zimmerman and Jelly Roll as the weekend’s headliners.
They will be joined by everyone from Sheryl Crow to Shaboozy, seeing talent like Charles Wesley Godwin, Riley Green, Tucker Wetmore and many more take the stage. Canada’s own Noeline Hofmann and Cameron Whitcomb will also be gracing this year’s bill.
In the past, the festival has tapped genre staples like Eric Church, Dustin Lynch, Tyler Hubbard, Megan Moroney, Brett Young and The War and Treaty to perform, as well as made space for a number of rising entertainers, such as The Castellows, Nate Smith, Alana Springsteen and more.
Lasso Montréal makes for an unbelievable weekend of unforgettable memories, always leaving festival-goers ensnared and eager for one more round in the saddle.

A staple of the Alberta festival calendar, if there's one thing you need to be doing on the Civic Holiday weekend in August, it's cracking a beer with some of country music's finest names at Big Valley Jamboree.
Launched in 1992 as a sister festival to the event that was held in Craven, Saskatchewan (which is now better known as Country Thunder Saskatchewan), Big Valley Jamboree has spent over 30 years bringing joy and country music to Alberta.
This year's event is going to be no exception.
Taking place July 31 - August 3, one of country's hottest young acts, Bailey Zimmerman, will joini 2000s favourites Blake Shelton and Jason Aldean for an absolute feast of country fun.
Our top tip: bring some extra Canadian dollars for the marketplace, the unique vendors and traders they have on offer are something not to be missed!

Since 1993, the Country Thunder franchise has been a leader among country music festivals.
Now a multi-state and multi-country music festival brand, Country Thunder hosts several concerts in North America each year, including in Arizona, Alberta, Florida and Wisconsin. The Saskatchewan arm of Country Thunder started in 2005 and has since become one of Canada's biggest and best offerings of the year.
Over the years, some of country music's biggest names have appeared on the Saskatchewan stage, including Alan Jackson, Reba McEntire, Toby Keith, Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, George Strait, Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Eric Church, Tim McGraw, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Alabama, Chris Stapleton, Morgan Wallen, Jon Pardi and countless others, and this year is serving up another can't miss weekend.
Taking place from July 10-13 in Craven, Saskatchewan, this year's attendees will be able to see a sizzling trio of high-octane headliners, including Jason Aldean, Bailey Zimmerman and Diamond-certified legends Def Leppard. A team of new and established hitmakers like Nate Smith, Tyler Hubbard, Mackenzie Carpenter, Owen Riegling, Sara Evans and others will be on hand to fill in for the rest of the four-day spread featuring another spitfire roster of talent from across the country genre and beyond.

Since its inception in 2009, Cavendish Beach Music Festival has been one of the most esteemed Canadian events of the year.
Boasting an inaugural lineup of Tim McGraw, Big & Rich and Reba McEntire, among others, the weekend was basically born to shine, and that's what it's done in the 16 years since as its welcomed hitmakers like Taylor Swift, Brad Paisley, Toby Keith, Eric Church, Dierks Bentley, Alabama, Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Shawn Mendes, Carrie Underwood, Luke Combs and more to its stage.
Held in Cavendish, Prince Edward Island, a resort community located less than 25 miles northwest of the provincial capital Charlottetown, the 2025 event will take place from July 10-12 and this year's lineup is no joke.
Topping the bill will be none other than Canadian queen Shania Twain, alongside hitmakers Lainey Wilson and Tyler Hubbard. Also on tap for what's sure to be another glorious weekend of country music will be Josh Ross, Stephen Wilson Jr., Adrien Nunez, Wyatt Flores and others.
