The 2023 event lived up to its name of being the "biggest party in the south" as headliners Chris Stapleton, Zach Bryan, Cody Johnson and Riley Green brought the heat. Bailey Zimmerman, Travis Tritt, Jo Dee Messina, Chase Matthew, Drake Milligan, Mackenzie Carpenter and Ella Langley also helped keep the energy up throughout the weekend.
Rock The South was initially organized as a one-off fundraiser in 2011 to help victims of Alabama's Super Outbreak of tornadoes. Since that first show in 2011, the festival has donated over $600,000 to local charities including The Link, Alabama Forever, Brook’s Place and Children’s Hospital of Alabama. The festival has prided itself on giving back to the community and celebrating Southern culture for more than a decade.
