*The dates for Rock The South 2024 are yet to be confirmed - July 19-21 are speculative dates*
After another full weekend of performances from country music's finest talent, Rock The South is expected to return to Cullman, Alabama in 2024.
Though the dates are not yet confirmed, we can anticipate that the festival will once again opt for a three-day excursion. Prior to 2023, Rock The South was only slated over two days.
Rock The South 2023 lived up to its name of being the "biggest party in the south" as headliners Chris Stapleton, Zach Bryan, Cody Johnson and Riley Green brought the heat. Bailey Zimmerman, Travis Tritt, Jo Dee Messina, Chase Matthew, Drake Milligan, Mackenzie Carpenter and Ella Langley also helped keep the energy up throughout the weekend.
Here, we'll have all the up-to-date news on line-up announcements, the latest ticket and festival pass details, and any further exciting info and details for Rock The South 2024.
In the days following the 2023 event, the Cullman Police Department announced that an assault took place on Saturday night (July 22) at the music festival, which welcomed over 35,000 people this year and breaking attendance records. At the time of reporting, it has been stated that charges will be filed soon, according to local news channel WVTM.
Videos have begun circulating on social media showing several people punching and kicking an 18-year-old Rock The South attendee. The victim's mother posted a photo of him shortly after in the hospital, as well as videos sent to her by other festival attendees.
Over the weekend, Rock the South organizers had shared that they were offering a $10,000 reward plus lifetime tickets to the event in exchange for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the physical assault.
Anyone with information can contact the Cullman Police Department at 256-734-1434.
Rock The South was initially organized as a one-off fundraiser in 2011 to help victims of Alabama's Super Outbreak of tornadoes. Since that first show in 2011, the festival has donated over $600,000 to local charities including The Link, Alabama Forever, Brook’s Place and Children’s Hospital of Alabama. The festival has prided itself on giving back to the community and celebrating Southern culture for more than a decade.
