Red Rooster Festival 2023


The UK's Red Rooster Festival is back with another outstanding line-up for 2023, with a refreshingly eclectic mix of exciting talent from across country, Americana, Roots and more.

Christone ‘Kingfish’ Ingram and Fantastic Negrito will headline, while His Lordship, Take Me To The River All-Stars and Daddy Long Legs will also take the Suffolk stage.

While originally set to play the festival, Nikki Lane can no longer play the event.

Legends of Country will be another hotly anticipated act, having delivered one of the stand-out performances during January's AmericanaFest UK showcases.

The 2022 instalment of the Red Rooster Festival saw memorable performances from the likes of Seasick Steve, Nick Waterhouse, North Mississippi Allstars, Sugaray Rayford, The Sheepdogs, Cedric Burnside, Joshua Hedley, Jim Lauderdale, Elles Bailey and more. 

The idiosyncratic event has become renowned for being a melting pot of genres and musical influences, with Cajun, Soul, Rock and Roll, Blues, Roots, Americana and Country all being represented by the diverse range of artists on the bill. 

While the music is inevitably the main drew for festival-goers, Red Rooster also prides itself on offering a variety of unique activities, such as river swimming, butchery classes and bushcraft. 

Another much-loved quirk of Red Rooster is the fact that it's possibly the only festival where attendees can get a haircut while waiting for their favourite artists to arrive on stage.

Red Rooster Festival 2023: Line-Up, Dates and Times | Holler

Maxim enjoys staying on the pulse of the latest releases, and is a country aficionado and avid listener of anything by Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs, Lainey Wilson, George Strait, Florida Georgia Line, Niko Moon, Megan Moroney and Zach Bryan, as well as keenly covering Post Malone’s transition into country music. 

Above all, Maxim considers himself Kenny Chesney’s No. 1 fan.
