BEACH IT! Country Music Festival is a celebration of the meeting-point between Stetsons and shorelines, buckles and boat-days and trucks and tans, with a star-studded line-up set to take the stage on the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.

Across June 23-25, the headlining trio of Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett and Luke Bryan will also serenade attendees with their expansive array of chart-topping hits. 

Joining them will be Riley Green, Cole Swindell, Hailey Whitters, Megan Moroney, Brothers Osborne, Kip Moore, Jameson Rodgers, Nate Smith and more.

Here, we'll have all the up-to-date news on line-up announcements, the latest ticket details and any further exciting info for BEACH IT! Country Music Festival's 2023 instalment.

The three-day event will comprise two stages, and will showcase a blend of established heavyweights and exciting prodigies. 

 second stage will focus on the latter, with the likes of Ben Burgess, Tyler Braden, Mackenzie Carpenter, Ashland Craft, Pillbox Patti and Chayce Beckham all booked to perform. 

The inaugural instalment of the sun-soaked festival will take place at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront, which has established itself as a culinary, activity and shopping hub in the region.

Miranda Lambert grew up singing in Texas before catching Nashville’s attention as a teenager. But she didn’t like the pop direction they tried to push her in, so she learned guitar, began writing her own songs and self-released her self-titled debut album in 2001.

Lambert’s sophomore album, and major label debut, Kerosene arrived in 2005, quickly topping Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and eventually going platinum. 

It would take one more album, 2007’s Crazy Ex-Girlfriend for Lambert to earn her first Academy of Country Music Award – for Top New Female Vocalist. 

Lambert has gone on to release a number of additional solo albums, including 2020’s best-selling album Wildcard, which won the Grammy for Best Country Album. She’s also co-formed the supergroup Pistol Annies, with Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley, recorded the campfire collaboration The Marfa Tapes with Jack Ingram and Jon Randall.

She even become the first female artist to open her own bar in downtown Nashville, appropriately called Casa Rosa (or Pink House).

A commercial and critical success, Lambert’s gutsy attitude comes across in her tell-it-like-it-is songwriting, which has garnered Grammys, CMA Awards for Album of the Year, and led to her being named Female Vocalist of the Year at the ACM Awards more times than any other female artist.

Lambert had an auspicious start, taking charge of her own destiny, that set the stage for what followed.

Rhett played music in both junior high and high school. He later chose to study communications at Lipscomb University in Nashville, but the draw of Music City was too much. He eventually dropped out to pursue music full-time. 

Thanks to his songwriting prowess, Rhett landed a publishing deal with Big Machine Label Group. In the early stages of his professional career, he co-wrote singles for Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line and Lee Brice, among others.  

arrived in 2013, and two years later he followed it up with 

 His sophomore release was nominated for Album of the Year at the ACM Awards. The single 'Die a Happy Man' from the album would go on to win Single of the Year at the ACMS and Song of the Year at the CMAs. 

. The latter marks the first of a double album release.

In 2020, the ACMs named Rhett Entertainer of the Year, and one year later he earned the title Male Artist of the Year.

Thomas Rhett may stem from country music royalty (he's the son of Rhett Akins, after all), but yet he's still marked his own path.

Like many country artists, Luke Bryan gained his start by writing for other singers. But that early songwriting work helped him land a record deal with Capitol Nashville in 2007. When his debut album I’ll Stay Me arrived that same year, Bryan had co-writing credit on 10 of the album’s 11 tracks. 

Bryan’s hard work has also led to major accolades. In 2010, he won the ACM Award for Top New Artist and Top New Solo Vocalist. Just three years later, in 2013, the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association named him ‘Entertainer of the Year’. 

Bryan opened the restaurant 32 Bridge Food + Drink on Nashville’s Broadway strip, and took that same name, 32 Bridge Entertainment, to start his own record label under Universal Music Group Nashville. 

His seventh studio album Born Here Live Here Die Here was released in 2020.

Before Megan Moroney stormed onto the charts with the infectious, endearing ‘Tennessee Orange’, country football anthems were traditionally associated with the muscled-up, beer-chugging bro-country scene. 

Moroney's sweet tale of a forbidden, star-crossed romance between a Tennessee Volunteers fan and a Georgia Bulldogs supporter went viral in 2022, and in doing so, announced the artist to the world. 

Although the song's success was helped by its muse - a certain country megastar, Morgan Wallen - this shouldn't detract from ‘Tennessee Orange’’s standalone status as a certified earworm with wonderfully intricate and witty songwriting construction. 

The Georgia native's musical journey was kickstarted by the 2021 single, ‘Wonder’, which Moroney penned after being booked to open for Chase Rice during her freshman year at University, and being told she needed at least one original song in her set. 

The following year, she released the six-song 

 EP. The EP showcased Moroney's conversational charm and her ability to find lyrics that speak to the younger generation, but that still feel timeless and unquestionably country. 

‘Hair Salon’ quickly became a fan-favourite, and on February 11, Megan Moroney performed the small-town ballad during her Grand Ole Opry debut, alongside ‘Tennessee Orange’. 

Many have tipped the country prodigy to enjoy a stellar year, with Moroney currently readying her debut album, which will feature both ‘Tennessee Orange’ and her playful, tongue-in-cheek February 2023 single, ‘I'm Not Pretty’. 

Underlining her position at the forefront of contemporary country, Spotify named Megan Moroney as one of their 2023 Country Artists to Watch, while CMT included her in their prestigious Next Women of Country 2023 group. Additionally, Holler featured Megan Moroney as one of its 23 New Artists for 2023.

Over the last few decades, we have learned that country music really is countrywide... or more accurately worldwide. While an overwhelming majority of today's country crop comes by way of the southern region of the U.S., Hailey Whitters has brought a unique flair of midwestern charm to country music since making her first waves in the format in 2020.

Iowa-born and Nashville-based, the rising tunesmith first gained notoriety through her golden pen, notching songwriting credits for the likes of Little Big Town, Marina McBride, Alan Jackson and more. After a decade of grinding it out around town, her breakthrough moment finally came in 2020 with the release of her sophomore album, 

, which found its way onto more than a dozen year-end best of lists. The deluxe edition, 

, saw Whitters commissioning some of her frequent collaborators and friends on five new tracks, including Brent Cobb, Jordan Davis, Trisha Yearwood and Little Big Town, who appeared on the CMT Music Award-winning song 'Fillin' My Cup.'

Following a momentous 2020, the subsequent year took Whitters out on the road with acts like Luke Combs and Midland, as well as saw her notch her first Grammy nomination for Song of the Year for Alicia Keys and Brandi Carlile's 'Beautiful Noise,' written by Whitters with Carlile, Keys, Ruby Amanfu, Brandy Clark, Hillary Lindsey, Lori McKenna and Linda Perry.

Building off her success thus far, Whitters brought everything to a head in March of 2022 as she released her third album, 

, which features her debut single to country radio, 'Everything She Ain't,' as well as the moody heartbreak departed anthem of 'The Neon' and her ode to the guys who taught her some lessons about love and life on 'Boys Back Home.'

Though still in the beginning stages of what will surely be a lengthy career in the left of country Americana space, Whitters has spent the last few years truly honing in on her craft and her sound, all while growing a dedicated fan base and quite a killer catalog along the way.

Hailey Whitters has brought a unique flair of midwestern charm to country music since making her first waves in the format in 2020.

The country duo Brothers Osborne – John (guitar) and T.J. (vocals) – grew up playing music with their family, but that almost didn’t translate to a professional career. 

They both landed in Nashville after graduating high school two years apart, but they pursued other projects in an attempt to develop solo careers. But their power ultimately lay in playing together, and eventually they began performing as a duo at some of Nashville’s smaller venues. 

That push drew the attention of EMI Records Nashville, which signed John and T.J. in 2012. With that opportunity, they continued performing, releasing singles and recording a self-titled EP in 2014, all of which lead to their debut album Pawn Shop in 2016 and two big accolades. Thanks to John’s electrifying guitar playing and T.J.’s growling baritone, Brothers Osborne was named Vocal Duo of the Year by the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association in 2016 and 2017.

Brothers Osborne followed their early critical success with 2018’s Port Saint Joe and 2020’s Skeletons, albums which showcased their penchant for blurring country with southern rock. 

In 2021, T.J. made headlines when he opened up to TIME Magazine about being gay. The announcement made him the first country artist signed to a major label to come out.
