One of the rising stars on the far fringes of country music, Jessie Murph has created her own unique, musical cocktail of one part trap, R&B pop and one part muddy country.
Born in Nashville, Murph grew up in Alabama where she developed a gritty southern twang that adds an undeniable edge to her music. Her artistic journey began with the release of her full-length mixtape, drowning, in early 2023, which included standout tracks like 'Always Been You,' 'How Could You' and 'Pray.'
From there, Murph decided to fully lean into her country influences, releasing a series of pop-country singles, including 'Cowboys and Angels' and collaborations with Jelly Roll ('Wild Ones') and Maren Morris ('Texas'). By 2024, the burgeoning singer-songwriter also paired up with Texas country-rocker Koe Wetzel for their head turning duet, 'High Road,' as well as the poignant 'Someone In This Room' with Bailey Zimmerman, which can be found on her sophomore project, That Ain't No Man That's The Devil.
At the turn of 2025, Murph found massive, viral success thanks to a series of provoking singles, namely the autobiographical 'Gucci Mane' and the fiery 'Blue Strips,' both of which led up to her highly-anticipated third record, Sex Hysteria, released in July 2025.
Murph's artistry has been characterized by her introspective lyrics and her undying commitment to authenticity. As she continues to heal from the pain of her past experiences, she's found strength in embracing her roots and pushed a smattering of boundaries along the way.
