Canadian prodigy Robyn Ottolini caused quite the stir on Tik Tok with her addictive 2020 single, ‘F-150’. Although it was a break-up anthem that announced Ottolini to the world, her music is usually underpinned by a refreshing refusal to take herself too seriously.

For her Holler Live Session performance, Ottolini packs up her charming, light-hearted outlook and carries it across the pond to The Betsey Trotwood pub in London. 

The rising star performs ‘F-150’ and ‘Busy’, along with a special rendition of an unreleased track, ‘All My Friends Are Hot’. 

From the moment she introduces her first song, it's evident why Robyn Ottolini has been able to connect so immediately with such a broad audience. She laces her lyrics with an endearing levity - and an occasional playful ad-lib.

Although self-deprecation is prevalent, particularly on ‘All My Friends Are Hot’, it never detracts from Ottolini's central appeal of backing yourself and being your own number one fan. It's a popular mantra in modern country, but one that Ottolini packages up in a unique, heartening way. 

As she flits between the sass of ‘Busy’ and the joviality of ‘All My Friends Are Hot’, Ottolini dissipates any hints of timidity in favour of pure, unadulterated charisma.

Matt Stell is his familiarly comic self as he joins us at The Betsey for the latest Holler Live Session. As the chaos of central London erupts outside, Stell observes a particularly loud, speedy passer-by on their souped-up motorbike. "They're on their way to have sex", Stell notions jokingly, bringing the room back together in laughter as he carries on with his set.

Stell has never been one to hide his personality behind his music, always willing to show his true, light-hearted self to his growing audience of fans. He's also never been scared to show range, both musically and emotionally, in his sound - the three songs he performs for us here veer from beers n' buds anthems, vulnerable love songs and endearing familial tributes.

While Stell and his guitar-playing pal Matt Morgeson may sound more wistful and understated than they usually do on record, or perhaps even live, the set feels like an intimate exhibition of Stell's rawness as a songwriter; equal parts affectionate and joyful, humble and gratified.

Before heading out for a songwriters round in London with Elvie Shane, Stell delivers 'One of Us', 'Man Made' and the beautiful 'Sadie', showing us how good his music sounds in its simplest form.

As she pushes the boundaries to create a community of inclusivity, Twinnie’s music delivers a crucial message of self-love, confidence and acceptance for all. A fresh voice for the outliers, she has created a musical refuge for people on the fringe where everyone is welcome.

Alongside her career as a performing artist, in 2021 Twinnie founded I KNOW A WOMAN - a global music collective with the aim of standardising mental health therapy within label and publishing deals. The collective offers vital support to creatives through non-profit work, whilst also delivering wider support through artist management and label deals.
