The inaugural Dreamy Draw Festival featured a wide swath of talent from all corners of Americana, country, roots and more over its initial two-day weekend in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Nestled under the "more" category was a smattering of jam bands that ranged from supergroups like Mighty Poplar to fresh collectives like Grady Smith & The Work.

Comprised of frontman Grady Spencer, along with drummer Blake Sager, bassist Johnny Hatcher and lead guitarist Tyler Martin, the band hailing from Fort Worth, Texas treated midday attendees to an hour of their groove-based genre blending hits and beloved tunes on Friday afternoon (Nov. 3).

Mixing together West Texas red dirt with modern grooves alt-funk music, the four-piece brought the ultimate sunny vibes, at times feeling like you were beachside with a cocktail in hand.

"My name is Grady Spencer and we're The Work from Fort Worth, Texas," Spencer offered. "This here is a song about how sometimes you have to do a lot of bad stuff in life that's not so great, but you have to find the little things." Before playing the aptly titled tune, he added: "There's always something to 'Celebrate'!"

Combing through their more than four albums worth of cuts, Spencer and his crew, who are reminiscent of early Zac Brown Band, gave laidback performances of the swaying 'Take Me Away Now', grungy 'With Me', sugar sweet 'Find You' and the swampy rocker of 'Coming Home'.

"We're a long way from home and we're trying to spread the word," Spencer noted before leaving the stage. "Thank y'all so much for hanging out and thank you to Dreamy Draw! It's been an incredible first few hours and we're honored to be all the way out here from Texas."

Serving as one of the first acts to take the Stampede Stage for the festival's first year, Grady Spencer & The Work were followed by the likes of Emily Nenni, Hailey Whitters and Luke Grimes before Friday's end.
