Morgan Wallen is continuing his charge across Europe with a highly anticipated show in Glasgow, Scotland, officially marking his first ever UK performance outside of London.
The Sneedville megastar will be taking the stage at the OVO Hydro, which has a capacity of 14,300, on Thursday, September 5, before Morgan closes out his hugely popular European One Night At a Time run with a double-header in Dublin, Ireland.
Morgan Wallen will again be joined by his fellow Big Loud label-mates, Larry Fleet and Lauren Watkins, as the openers. Morgan has been bringing out his good friend Larry for a special duet of ‘Where I Find God’ during each stop on his European tour so far - a soul-stirring ballad that Morgan regularly cites as one of his favourite songs of all time - and we imagine they'll perform this again in Glasgow.
Excitingly, in addition to a plethora of his biggest hits such as ’Whiskey Glasses’, ’More Than My Hometown‘, ‘Chasin’ You’, ‘Last Night’ and many more, Morgan Wallen has been treating his European fans to his unreleased track, ‘Love Somebody’.
Morgan has been performing the uptempo offering, which is expected to be made available to stream in the next couple of months, during his European dates so far. We're keeping our fingers crossed his keeps it in the setlist at the OVO Hydro.
Doors are due to open at 6pm, with Lauren Watkins usually performing at around 7pm, before Larry Fleet starts his set at 7:45pm. Although it varies slightly from show to show, Morgan Wallen tends to kick off his performance at around 9pm, with the ‘You Proof’ hitmaker reeling off his genre-blending anthems until 11pm.
Attendees are allowed to bring small bags into the OVO Hydro, but large bags and backpacks are not permitted. There is a cloakroom in the SEC Centre, which costs £7.50 per item.
In terms of tickets, with this being Morgan Wallen's debut performance in Glasgow, the event unsurprisingly sold out relatively quickly, although there are some resale tickets on offer.
As Morgan Wallen's European tour draws to a close, the ‘Thought You Should Know‘ singer-songwriter has been gaining momentous with each tour-stop as he approaches his blockbuster homecoming shows at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee later in September. Some suspect he's readying a new album announcement to coincide with these performances, and we imagine Glasgow and Dublin may be the last times you'll be able hear ’Love Somebody’ before it drops.
