Morgan Wallen's inaugural Sand in My Boots Festival 2025 is almost upon us, with the Sneedville megastar bringing a slew of his friends, collaborators and favourite artists from an eclectic multitude of genres to Gulf Shores, Alabama this coming weekend.
With the day-splits now confirmed and a stacked line-up featuring some of the biggest artists in modern country music, it can feel a little overwhelming when deciding who to see.
Of course, it goes without saying that you have to go and enjoy the headlining trio, Post Malone, Brooks & Dunn and Morgan Wallen, with all three possessing a sprawling catalogue of hits. We suspect Wallen will come out during's Post's set on the opening day of Sand in My Boots to debut their new single, ‘I Ain't Comin’ Back’.
Elsewhere during the festival, there are a slew of possible on-stage link-ups we can look forward to. For instance, we think there's a good chance that Riley Green will bring out his 2025 tour-mate, Ella Langley, to perform ‘You Look Like You Love Me’ and ‘Don't Mind If I Do’, while we're also hoping Bailey Zimmerman recruits BigXthaPlug to perform their genre-blending hit, ‘All The Way’, on the final day.
Similarly, Morgan Wallen is spoiled for choice as to who he could join forces with during his set, with the ‘Last Night’ chart-topper having released songs with a host of artists on the line-up, including Moneybagg Yo, ERNEST, HARDY and Brooks & Dunn.
Putting the headliners aside, we've compiled five key acts on the blockbuster Sand in My Boots Festival 2025 roster of performers that we think you should make a point of seeing - and if their past sets are anything to go by, you won't be disappointed.
1. Ella Langley
Date: Saturday, May 17th
Time: 4:20-5:05pm
Song to Watch Out For: ‘You Look Like You Love Me’
Over the past year or so, Ella Langley has emerged as one of the leading new artists in modern country, with the Alabama native scoring five ACM Awards earlier in the month. As a result, Langley's positioning on the Sand in My Boots Festival bill undoubtedly feels low, with the ‘nicotine’ hitmaker performing an afternoon set.
Nonetheless, you can rest assured Langley will bring the histrionics and swagger she brought to the ACM Awards stage, with the country-rocker becoming renowned for her high-energy performances and her commanding stage presence.
Already boasting a slew of infectious earworms, including the immensely viral hit, ‘You Look Like You Love Me’ - Holler's 2024 Song of the Year - and ‘Paint the Town Blue’, Ella Langley will have the crowd roaring along throughout her set. Also be sure to keep an eye - and ear - out for Langley making a cameo during Riley Green's performance later that evening, with the Damn Country Music tour-mates likely to link up for ‘You Look Like You Love Me’ and ‘Don't Mind If I Do’.
2. Ian Munsick
Date: Friday, May 16th
Time: 6:40 - 7:30pm
Song to Watch Out For: Cowshit in the Morning
Another Holler favourite, Ian Munsick fulfils a unique role in the contemporary country landscape, with the Wyoming native spotlighting Native American culture and the increasingly rare and traditional-leaning styles of music associating with his home-state, while still giving his releases a distinctly sleek, contemporary feel.
Epitomising this is the fact that Munsick takes fans on a delightful, rip-roaring detour during his set, with what the ‘Horses Are Faster’ crooner calls his ‘Beef Medley’. This involves Munsick rattling through a flurry of crowd-pleasing pop anthems from the likes of Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter and Camila Cabello.
As well as being charmed by this playful medley, get ready to be dazzled by Munsick's soul-stirring vocals. Stand-outs in his setlist include the moving ‘More Than Me’, the electric ‘Cowboy Killer’ and the amusing yet addictive ‘Cowshit in the Morning’.
3. Lauren Watkins
Date: Saturday, May 17th
Time: 1:00 - 1:50pm
Song to Watch Out For: Mama, I Made It
Kicking off the Saturday sets on the Sand in My Boots main-stage, don't be deceived by Lauren Watkins’ lunchtime slot - the Nashville prodigy is not to be underestimated.
Storming onto the scene back in 2023, Watkins has spent the following years honing her sound and zeroing in on her penchant for witty wordplay and an unashamedly country style.
Having toured across the world one one of the biggest tours of 2024, Morgan Wallen's One Night At A Time run, Watkins is unquestionably delivering on the promise she showed when we first started hearing her honeyed croons on ‘Shirley Temple’.
4. Jake Worthington
Date: Friday, May 16th
Time: 3:05 - 3:40pm
Song to Watch Out For: It Ain't The Whiskey
Many credit Zach Top as being the flag-bearer of Nashville's latest neo-traditional wave, but it's important not to forget about the up-and-comers that paved the way before Top broke through with his irresistible tongue-in-cheek anthem, ‘I Never Lie’.
One such artist, Jake Worthington, has been spearheading a classic country revival since his 2023 self-titled debut, featuring sumptuously sepia-tinged, ‘90s-inspired offerings such as ‘State You Left Me In’ and ‘Pop Goes The Whiskey’ with ERNEST.
Given the fact that Worthington features on ERNEST's lauded new Cadillac Sessions project, we imagine - and hope - the duo will team up at some point over the weekend.
5. Laci Kaye Booth
Date: Sunday, May 18th
Time: 2:00 - 2:30pm
Song to Watch Out For: Daddy's Mugshot
Taking the stage on the final day of Sand in My Boots Festival, Laci Kaye Booth will be helping to get the good times flowing as the Alabama extravaganza draws to a close.
Laci Kaye Booth can do it all - from the stormy, charismatic ‘Daddy's Mugshot’ to the uptempo, feel-good ‘Treasure’, the Texas maverick will keep you on the toes throughout her set.
One key strand that Kaye Booth weaves throughout her versatile discography is an ability to craft visceral, enchanting narratives, highlighted by the achingly intricate ‘True Love’.
