Cody Johnson has confirmed his long-awaited new album, Leather, will be released on November 3 2023, with two tracks from the upcoming record, ‘Work Boots’ and ‘Watching My Old Flame’, having been made available immediately.

The new project will also feature CoJo's 2023 single, ‘The Painter’, which pays tribute to his wife, Brandi (“With every wall I built, she saw a canvas / I thank God every day for how He made her / My life was black and white but she's the painter”.

We're yet to receive an official tracklist for Leather, but the ‘Til You Can't’ songsmith has spoken on a number of occasions about what fans can expecte from the hotly anticipated project.

Cody Johnson shared in a previous interview that Leather will be a double-album, and that it'll be laced with a sense of fun, with many of the tracks exploring a more light-hearted atmosphere than his introspective 2021 project, Human.

In addition, fans are hoping the Leather tracklist will include blockbuster collaborations with Carrie Underwood and Jelly Roll, with Johnson having teased duets with both in the past.

Leather has today been made available for pre-order across all streaming platforms, with the tracklist being twelve songs long. However, given the fact that Cody Johnson has already revealed it'll be a double-album comprising 24 songs, we're excitedly assuming that Leather will soon be followed up by a sequel or deluxe project.
