Zach Bryan recently unveiled the music video to his The Great American Bar Scene tune, 'Purple Gas,' and it's a visual featuring you.
Upon the tune's release in early June, the artist called for videos from his devoted fanbase, recruiting them to "send anything ya’ll want: hometown, farmland, American centered, midwestern, western style footage ... we will not be picky."
Having done something similar with his early opus 'Something in the Orange', the star explained, "I like doing these because it makes me feel so much more connected to the people that listen to my music."
His followers answered the call and what resulted is a heart-warming visual from a flood of fan-sourced footage. Now, the Noeline Hofman duet feels complete with its throat-tightening montage starring good friends, dear family members and loved ones.
In the call to action on social media, Bryan also took a moment to gush about the Hofmann-penned tune, as well as his duet partner.
"This song brought me to tears the first time I heard it so it was really important for me that Noeline gave me the privilege to sing it with her," he wrote. "I have never covered another musician on an album and it’s because I was waiting on someone to write a song like this. Noeline resonates like Gillian Welch to me and Gillian is one of my favorite musicians to ever live; now Noeline is too".
